Equipment Hire Terms & Conditions

  1. Equipment remains the property of Angelo's Catering & Events.

  2. The hirer warrants that the person signing the pickup or delivery note is duly authorised to do so on behalf of the Hirer and the person signing this /pickup or delivery note warrants that he/she is duly authorised to sign on behalf of the hirer. If the customer is not present on pick up or delivery an image will be taken as proof of delivery.

  3. The hirer is responsible for ensuring that their delivery/collection instructions and arrangements are consistent with parking restrictions. Angelo's Catering & Events Hire reserves the right to pass on to the hirer the cost of any fines incurred due to delivery/collection instructions which neglect or ignore parking restrictions.

  4. Payment, including a refundable deposit, must be made before goods are released, stock is reserved and allocated. Payment to be received by payment methods listed on either your summary/quote and/or invoice.. By making payment, the agreement is confirmed, and the hirer automatically accepts the terms and conditions as approved.

  5. When processing an electronic payment, the order/invoice number must be used as a reference so that the funds are allocated accordingly.

  6. If you would like the refundable deposit to be sent back to you by bank transfer, you will need to provide us with your bank details including the payee name. If the order is paid for by card, we may have to return the deposit to the original card.

  7. Angelo's Catering & Events can process a payment using either a credit or debit card, however fees may be applicable.

  8. It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure any necessary protective covering for the floors and walls are in place before the transport crew arrives on site for both delivery and collection

  9. It is admitted that the person signing the delivery note had the opportunity to inspect the hired equipment and confirm the equipment is received in good condition.

  10. A deposit equal to £200 for orders up to £750 and £300 for order above £750 will be required and cancellation of orders within 5 days of date of hire is chargeable at 50% hire charge. Within 72 hours at full hire charge. On occasiosn we may offer a different secuirty deposit, this will be detailed in your quote.

  11. Under no circumstances should electrical appliances be used without being correctly earthed, unless it is of double insulated construction.

  12. The hirer is fully responsible for the equipment and for insuring the equipment if necessary, from the time of acceptance until returned to our premises. No insurance is provided by Angelo's Catering & Events.

  13. Gas appliances should not be used below ground level and only used in a well ventilated area.

  14. Queries on goods received must be notified immediately.

  15. In the event of a breakdown or unsatisfactory working of hired equipment, Angelo's Catering & Events should be notified of the fault immediately. No attempt should be made to repair the equipment unless express permission is granted by Angelo's Catering & Events. All appliances are tracked via Serial Number.

  16. Drivers collecting goods are not authorised to return deposits or check goods.

  17. If the hirer has any cause for complaint concerning the condition, suitability or performance of equipment hired, Angelo's Catering & Events should be notified immediately. No consideration for redress will be given to a grievance once the equipment has been used.

  18. Table linen must not be returned or stored damp or wet. Damage resulting from mildew or other stains and burn marks that will not respond to laundering will be charged at full replacement cost.

  19. The hired equipment is solely intended for use and storage indoors unless specifically designed and manufactured for use outdoors. If the equipment is used or stored outdoors, the hirer is fully responsible for damage caused by the weather or any other associated hazard.

  20. All goods will be delivered clean and ready to use. If they are returned dirty, a washing charge of up to 30% of hire charge will be made.

  21. Cutlery and silverware must be washed or rinsed after use even if washing service agreed in advance. Under no circumstances should scourers or abrasives be used on any hired equipment.

  22. In addition to hire, cleaning and transport charges, a refundable deposit is required. The deposit less the replacement cost of breakages or losses, is returned after the equipment has been checked by authorised staff at Angelo's Catering & Events premises. Where the deposit is not sufficient to cover the replacement cost, the hirer is liable for the balance.

  23. Prices quoted are for 2 days hire max and are subject to VAT if applicable.

  24. We reserve the right to change any price without the need to give prior notice.

  25. Extended hire terms are available on request.

  26. If the customer doesn’t pay on time or within the agreed payment terms, then we reserve the right to remove discount, if no discount is applied, then we have the right to apply an £100 admin fee.

  27. Deliveries are from hard standing adjacent to main door, ground floor entrance, unless pre-arranged. An additional charge will be imposed in respect of waiting time should the driver be unduly delayed or detained while attempting to effect a delivery or collection, and if the items have not been packed in the correct containers waiting for collection.  This will be charges at £50 for the first 30 mins and £30 for every 15 mins afterwards.

  28. Angelo's Catering & Events is not insured to move any third party's furniture. If the hirer requests the delivery crew to help in this process, prior express authorisation will have to be given by the office. If permission is granted, under no circumstances would Angelo's Catering & Events Hire be held responsible for any damages that may occur as a result.

  29. All boxes, cartons, linen bags, protective equipment are to be returned dry and intact. Furniture, Etc must be kept dry. A charge will be made for all non returned or damaged items.

  30. Angelo's Catering & Events will make every endeavour to effect delivery and collection at the times indicated by the hirer. No responsibility will be taken if requested times are not met. Removal will be effected as soon as possible, but, all equipment cannot be collected immediately after use from all sites. Angelo's Catering & Events is under no liability whatsoever for any injury or damage to persons or property or loss of profit claimed by the hirer in respect of any interruption, delays, inaccuracies, errors, omissions or any failure to deliver or from the use of any equipment under hire.

  31. In the event that any equipment, which doesn't belong to Angelo's Catering & Events Hire is returned to our premises, we will only hold this equipment on site for a maximum of 7days, after which it will be disposed off.

  32. The hire of goods will be on an agreed period of 1 day, 4 days, or 1 week or as agreed between the hirer and Angelo's Catering & Events Hire and will be stated in the initial summary/contract..

  33. Where the hirer is in breach of contract or goes into administration / liquidation, Angelo's Catering & Events reserve the right to recover the hired goods and the monies still remain as owing to Angelo's Catering & Events Hire’s to the individuals, directors and owners

  34. Delivery and collection will be charged at the current Angelo's Catering & Events Hire rates. Failed delivery or collection will be charged at the normal Angelo's Catering & Events Hire rates. Failed collection due to the hirer fault, the goods subject of the contract will remain on hire and charged for at the daily rate.

  35. Whilst Angelo's Catering & Events Hire will make every effort to supply equipment as described in the current catalogues and website, all items will be offered subject to availability. Circumstances may lead to alternative products being supplied, but they will conform to the same standards or greater
